Alendronate is an inhibitor of CD45RC and MMP. It is also a selective inhibitor of FDPS (farnesyl diphosphate synthase). Alendronate, a nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate, is a potent inhibitor of bone resorption used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis.
