Signal Pathway

In some cases, receptor activation caused by ligand binding to a receptor is directly coupled to the cell's response to the ligand. For example, the neurotransmitter GABA can activate a cell surface receptor that is part of an ion channel. GABA binding to a GABAA receptor on a neuron opens a chloride-selective ion channel that is part of the receptor. GABAA receptor activation allows negatively charged chloride ions to move into the neuron, which inhibits the ability of the neuron to produce action potentials.

  • Marbofloxacin EY2246

Marbofloxacin is a potent antibiotic of which depends upon its inhibition of DNA-gyrase. Marbofloxacin is a synthetic, broad spectrum bactericidal agent which is a fluorinated carboxylic acid derivative third generatino quinolone antibacterial.

  • Acitretin EY2238

Acitretin, a retinoid that binds to nuclear receptors and regulates gene expression, is a potent activator of the α-secretase ADAM10 gene expression and apoptosis inducer via the CD95 signalling pathway. Acitretin is a systemic retinoid drug used in the treatment of severe psoriasis. Synthetic retinoid that is a metabolite of etretinate. Preferentially binds to cellular retinoic acid binding proteins (CRABPs). Acitretin is a second generation retinoid used for psoriasis.
