VDAC

VDAC (Voltage-dependent anion channels) are a class of porin ion channel located on the outer mitochondrial membrane. VDAC facilitates the exchange of ions and molecules between mitochondria and cytosol and is regulated by the interactions with other proteins and small molecules. The voltage-dependent ion channel plays a key role in regulating metabolic and energetic flux across the outer mitochondrial membrane.
  • Chlorothiazide EY2264

Chlorothiazide is one of the first in the thiazide class of diuretics. It is an inhibitor of carbonic anhydrase (IC50=3.8 mM) and is slightly less potent than acetazolamide (sc-214461). This compound has been shown to block reabsorption of sodium and chloride ions.

  • Lactulose EY2251

Lactulose is a keto analogue of lactose, a disaccharide composed of galactose and fructose. It is a stimulator of health-promoting bacterium growth in the gastrointestinal tract, used to treat chronic constipation and hepatic encephalopathy.

  • Methimazole EY2256

Methimazole(Tapazole, Northyx) is an antithyroid medicine. It is an antithyroid compound found to have antioxidant properties. Methimazole inhibits activation of the IFN-g-induced Janus kinase (JAK)/STAT signaling pathway in FRTL-5 thyroid cells, which may account for its immunodolulatory effects. Additionally, methimazole is an inhibitor of thyroperoxidase.
